These bowls are designed and made by the Zulu people of South Africa. This is a traditional weaving technique originally using palm fiber. Years ago someone had the bright idea of weaving with brightly colored telephone wire. Although colors will remain constant the design on each bowl is unique with the artist having complete control over their work.
